Q. My tank is leaking! What do I do?
Shut off your furnace! Make sure there are no ignition sources (heaters, electrical sources)

If you have sopped up any of the fuel, do not dispose of it with household trash.

Check a few things, first. Is there fuel in the tank? Are there any leaks? Is there power
to the furnace? If there are no safety concerns, you may be able to restart the furnace by
switching it off and then on, usually with a clearly labeled red switch or button. Do this
only once. If the furnace does not activate, contact us for assistance.
Q. I smell oil/propane in my house. What should I do?
You may have a leak in your tank, fuel line, or furnace. The vapors can be harmful with
concentrated or prolonged exposure. Turn off your furnace and extinguish any iginition
sources (fires, candles, heaters, etc.) that could ignite the vapors, and ventilate the
area. You may want to leave the house or building to prevent continued inhalation of the
vapors. Contact us and we will send a technician to investigate the source of the smell.
